YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy slammed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for not bothering to visit the victims of the fire cracker blasts in Nellore's Porlukatta. He said though Chandrababu is hardly 100 km away, he has chosen not to call on and console the victims.
He said Chandrababu should take the full responsibility for the mishap.YS Jagan who called on the cracker blast victims convalescing at the Narayana Hospital in Nellore, said six persons had died and as many as 10 persons suffered 80 per cent burns in the fire cracker blast on December 31. The cracker unit is said to be an illegally run unit. YS Jagan said that this was the third fire cracker mishap in the state in recent times. "Such incidents are recurring. There are many illegal fire cracker making units. But the Government is choosing to look the other way," he said. He further added that all the victims were tribals and reminded that the Government did not constitute Tribal Advisory Committee (TAC) only because of all the Tribal MLAs are from the YSRCP. He said the TAC would have ensured justice to the tribals.
